Since then, he has captured ten million viewers on six continents with concerts in 36 countries, including Australia, Brazil, South Africa, the USA and the rest of Europe. André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra
In 1987, he founded the Johann Strauss Orchestra, with whom he was to rise to world fame in the 1990s. The orchestra, consisting of only 12 members, quickly grew to up to 50 musicians. At the same time he founded his company "Rieu Productions", in which his wife and his son Pierre played an important role. The company has a recording studio in Maastricht and is responsible for the entire organization of the tour of the Johann Strauss Orchestra.
